Dr. Konstantinos Moustris, is a Professor at the Mechanical Engineering Department, School of Engineering, University of West Attica (UNIWA). He is the Head Professor of the Air Pollution Laboratory.
Dr. Konstantinos P. Moustris holds a BSc in Physics, MSc in Environmental Physics and Meteorology and a PhD in environmental sciences and artificial neural networks modeling.
He has published 45 original scientific papers in international peer-reviewed journals. He has 67 presentations of scientific works in international conferences with reviewers system and proceedings as well as 8 presentations of scientific works in national conferences. His research work has a wide repercussion within the international scientific community (Scopus: h-index=16, 953 citations and Google Scholar: h-index=19, 1634 citations).
He is also Reviewer in fifteen (15) at least international scientific journals in the field of energy and environment.
He is a member of the Balkan Environmental Association (B.EN.A). He is a member of the Board of Directors of the Hellenic Meteorological Society (2011-2013, 2013-2015, 2015-2017, 2017-2019 & 2019-today).
He was a member of the Organizing & Scientific Committee at several international scientific conferences as well as Chairman of the Organizing Committee of the “16th International Conference on Meteorology, Climatology and Atmospheric Physics”, co-organized by the University of West Attica and the Hellenic Meteorological Society (September, 2023).
He is an Expert for the final research projects evaluation at the General Secretariat for Research & Technology.
He has a teaching work/experience at the undergraduate program of the Mechanical Engineering Department, School of Engineering, University of West Attica and has supervised at least 70 students’ diploma theses. He has taught in several Postgraduate Programs and has supervised 15 postgraduate students’ dissertations.
He is a member of the Advisory Committee for the preparation and development of two (2) Doctoral Dissertations at the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens, one (1) Doctoral Thesis at the University of West Attica and Supervisor for the preparation and development of one (1) Doctoral Thesis at the University of West Attica. He was also a member of the Advisory Committee of the Doctoral Thesis that has already completed at the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens (June, 2022).
Finally, he has participated in a number of research projects as a member of a research team, but also as a main researcher. His scientific interest focuses on the applications of artificial intelligence (artificial neural networks) in the modeling of atmospheric, energy and environmental processes.
