Career prospects

The successful completion of the first cycle of studies of the Department of Mechanical Engineering leads to the award of a unified and integral degree of postgraduate level (integrated master), level 7 of the National and European Qualifications Framework (Government Gazette 5524 / 17-12-2020). The process for the equivalence of the Department to a Department of a Polytechnic School is currently in progress, based on the legal framework in force (article 66 of Law 4610 – Government Gazette 70 / A / 07.05.2019).

Graduates of the Department with five years of study are provided with theoretical and practical knowledge in a wide range of subjects and skills in the field of Engineering. Additionally, the graduates of the Department receive the appropriate orientation, so that they can immediately meet the needs of the market for professional engineers with proper theoretical and practical training. Therefore, they are able to work in a wide field of professional employment, which practically extends across the entire Greek market.
